About Personality Field Guide
Personality Field Guide is a personality test that finds the type like your "tendencies," not your "face." With 12 short questions, it plots your tendencies across five axes and shows the closest of 62 personality types.
What does this service do?
We find the personality type most like you based on "how you think and act," not your looks. The result screen shows your tendency graph, personality reading, best-match and clashing types, and how rare this personality is. In the field guide you can browse every type, and on the "full compatibility map" you can see the web of relationships among types at a glance.
What is 5-axis personality analysis?
Personality Field Guide measures a person's tendencies across five independent axes. Each axis is a spectrum with two ends, indicating not which side is "good or bad" but "which way you lean."
- Energy: Inward ↔ Outgoing — do you recharge alone or among people
- Activity: Calm ↔ Lively — do you tend to stay put or move first
- Judgment: Logic ↔ Feeling — do you reason with your head or empathize with your heart
- Attitude: Stability ↔ Challenge — do you keep to the familiar or take on change
- Image: Cute ↔ Power — a lovable charm or an overwhelming presence
How is the result decided?
Each of the 12 questions has four options, and every option adds preset values across the five axes. Once you finish, your tendencies are summed into five numbers (a tendency vector). The service compares this vector with the reference coordinates of each of the 62 types and presents the closest type across all five axes as your result.
The reference coordinates and scoring values are fixed after verifying their distribution through full simulation, so the same answers give the same result for everyone.
How is compatibility calculated?
We measure "how alike" two types are by the distance across the five axes. The closer the tendencies, the better the match, and by distance we group them into five tiers — Made for Each Other · Amazing Chemistry · So-So · A Little Rocky · Polar Opposites — shown by color and name.
What is personality rarity?
Rarity expresses "the structural probability of getting that result if you answered at random" across five star tiers (★ to ★★★★★). It's a value calculated from the scoring structure, not the actual distribution of users. So it means "how rare this personality type is," not "the chance of you getting it." It's a separate axis from grade (in-universe rarity).
The field guide keeps growing
The field guide currently holds 62 types with analyzed tendencies, and the "62 / 151" in the header marks the goal we're filling toward. New types are added only as full entries with enough information — never padded out awkwardly with blanks or locked cards.
