Privacy Policy
Effective June 24, 2026
Personality Field Guide (the "Service") treats your personal information with care. The Service has no sign-up or login, and your personality test responses are processed only within your browser, never sent to or stored on a server. This policy explains what information the Service processes, why, and how.
1. Information we collect
The Service does not directly collect personal information that identifies you (name, contact, account, etc.). Your question responses and results are calculated only in your browser, never transmitted to or stored on the operator's server.
That said, the following information may be automatically generated and collected in the course of running the website.
- Access logs: IP address, browser/device/OS information, visit time, pages viewed, referral path, etc.
- Identifiers generated by cookies and similar technologies (for advertising, analytics, and functionality)
Rather than being held by the operator directly, this information is processed by third-party providers of hosting, advertising, and analytics (see below) under their own policies.
2. Purpose of collection and use
- Stable provision and maintenance of the Service, and error analysis
- Improving content and usability through usage statistics
- Serving ads and measuring ad performance
- Preventing abuse and ensuring security
3. Cookies and automatic collection tools
The Service may use cookies and browser storage (such as session storage) to maintain screen state, gather statistics, and serve ads. For example, after visiting the "full compatibility map," it temporarily saves screen state to your browser so you can return to the previous screen (not personal information).
You can refuse or delete cookie storage in your browser settings. However, some features (such as restoring screen state) may not work properly.
4. Google AdSense and third-party advertising
You can turn off personalized ads or opt out of third-party ad providers' cookie use at the links below.
5. Analytics tools
The Service may use web analytics tools such as Google Analytics to compile visit statistics anonymously. These tools collect statistical information like visit frequency and page flow through cookies and do not directly identify individual users. You can block analytics with a browser add-on.
The Service may also use Microsoft Clarity to anonymously analyze how users interact with the site (clicks, scrolls, session recordings, etc.). Clarity automatically masks sensitive inputs such as passwords and payment details and does not directly identify individual users.
6. Processing entrustment and third-party provision
The Service uses the following third-party providers' functions for its operation, and related information is processed under each provider's privacy policy.
- Hosting and content delivery: a static site hosting provider (e.g., Cloudflare) — access log and security processing
- Advertising: ad providers such as Google AdSense
- Analytics: analytics providers such as Google Analytics
The operator does not separately sell or provide personal information to third parties, except where there is a legal basis or your consent.
7. Overseas transfer
The ad, analytics, and hosting providers above may process information on servers located overseas (such as in the United States). By using the Service, you acknowledge that such overseas processing may occur. Each provider applies its own security and privacy policies.
8. Retention period and destruction
The operator holds no personal information directly. Automatically collected information such as access logs and cookies is retained and deleted according to each third-party provider's retention policy and your browser settings. You can delete cookies and storage in your browser at any time.
9. Your rights
- Refusing or deleting cookie storage through browser settings
- Opting out of personalized ads through the links above
- Installing an analytics-blocking add-on
For privacy-related inquiries or requests, please use the form on the contact page and we'll respond in good faith.
10. Children under 14
This service does not separately collect personal information from children under 14. Guardian supervision is needed when children use the service, and if we become aware that a child's personal information has been collected, we will take action without delay.
11. Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised in line with changes in law or the service, and any changes will be announced on this page. Important changes will be announced together with their effective date.
12. Contact
For inquiries about personal information processing, please use the form on the contact page.
